YMCA of MARTA'S VINEYARD

Complete the Dream

Over a decade ago, The YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard broke ground on the beginning of a dream to empower and support spirit, mind and body. The original vision included this final expansion project – space intentionally conceptualized to provide multi-purpose, year-round collaborative space for youth, teen and adult recreation programing.

Please join us in becoming part of the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard’s story.

Help change someone’s tomorrow, today – COMPLETE THE DREAM.

The YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard is the cornerstone for delivering health and wellness programming to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. Our indelible impact extends well beyond our walls and geographic location. We nurture the potential in children and teens, keep seniors active and connected, strengthen families and join forces with like-minded organizations for the betterment of our community.

The current YMCA facility was built over a decade ago by visionary leaders who inspired the generosity of those who live and visit the Island. With capacity at a maximum and growing needs rapidly changing, we must add space to one of the most important community resources on Martha’s Vineyard.

To help meet the annual service demand of more than 12,000 community members and strategically prepare for the future, the YMCA is building a field house with a multi-sport gymnasium and elevated track, expanded wellness floor, additional classroom space for camps and after school programs and studios for rehabilitation, dance and the arts.

The expansion will consist of 3 thoughtfully laid out levels, each designed to maximize efficiency, provide program flexibility and encourage activities that foster leadership skills, physical movement, social-emotional health and community partnerships.
