American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Course

Skill Evaluation class on 9/3 at 5pm
Registration opens 8/9

Red Cross Blended Learning CPR/First Aid/AED for Adult, child and infant. Advance registration and online pre-course work is required. Participants will complete a 3 hour online course before the class date. The in person class will be a skill evaluation on the information and skills you learned in the online course.

Learn the basics for CPR, Automated External Defibrillation & First Aid on adults children and infants. This class is done through the Red Cross Blended Learning. You will take the course online and then make an appointment to have your skills evaluated by and instructor. This interactive and enjoyable class empowers you to feel confidence when assessing a scene for your own safety and the victim’s vital signs. Respond with the confidence, the skills and the reassuring demeanor that can help sustain a life until Professional Rescuers arrive.

American Red Cross Lifeguard

The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services personnel take over. This course includes training in First Aid, AED and CPR for a professional rescuer.

Minimum age of 15(Must be 16 to work in the State of Massachusetts). Classes will be done online through the Red Cross Blended Learning. Once the online portion is complete you will then make an appointment to come in and demonstrate the skills learned. This will be done in TWO 4 hours sessions over 2 days. Due to social distance requirements you will have to provide your own person to rescue in the skill evaluations. You must be able to swim 300 yards, tread water for 2-minutes with out the use of your hands and swim to the bottom of the pool to retrieve a 10lbs brick. You will be provided with more information and a digital manual when you sign up for the class.
