At the YMCA of Martha's Vineyard we have a social responsibility to offer education class to our community. Together we can make our community a safer place for everyone to live.


American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Course

Learn the basics for CPR, Automated External Defibrillation & First Aid on adults and children. This interactive and enjoyable class empowers you to feel confidence when assessing a scene for your own safety and the victim’s vital signs. Respond with the confidence, the skills and the reassuring demeanor that can help sustain a life until Professional Rescuers arrive.

Courses run Saturdays 12:30pm-4:30pm, space is limited.

American Red Cross Lifeguard

The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services personnel take over. This course includes training in First Aid, AED and CPR for a professional rescuer.

All classes run from 9AM - 5PM

Fee: Members $350 | Nonmember $450, call or stop by the Member Services Desk to register in advance, ext. 0
