Cartooning Workshop: If you are an aspiring artist and want to learn about cartooning, this 8-week workshop is for you!

March 17th – May 19th

Calling all cartoonist teens/parents! Our own Ryan Barr is doing his second Cartooning Workshop at Alex’s Place for the school year! Each class has a class limit of 7 students. Each class will be designed to teach each student a new area in cartooning, from comic strips, to children’s books and more!

Please send an email with (3) three pieces of art drawn by your child to be considered for a spot in the workshop. This class is intended for students who aren’t just doodlers, but for students who want to take cartooning to a more professional level, taught by a BFA Illustration graduate. Because of this criteria, not every student who submits work will be accepted into the program.

Ryan is looking into creating a week-long Cartooning Workshop for all skill levels at Alex’s Place in the Summer. If you are interested in signing your child up for that, send us an email and we’ll get back to you when dates and times are finalized!

The workshop cost $100 for the 8-week course. Some materials will be provided. Scholarships are also available. Contact Ryan Schwab-Doyon 508-9696-7171 ext. 127 or email
