Payment Options
The YMCA offers two easy payment options:
  • One-time, annual fee (requires annual renewal)
  • Automatic, monthly bank or credit card deduction (ongoing membership; no renewal required)
*Join fees apply to new members and members whose membership lapses for more than 90 days.
 
 
How to Join
To become a member of the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard, simply download a Membership Application and bring it to the Member Service Desk. Our friendly staff will assist you in finding the right type of membership for you and your family.

Reciprocity Policy
As a member of the Martha’s Vineyard Y you have limited reciprocal access to YMCA’s across the country.  Please check with the YMCA you plan to visit to inquire what the reciprocity policy is for that facility.
 
Visiting YMCA AWAY Members can purchase a day pass at a reduced cost of $10.00 for an adult and $5.00 for a youth.  There is no charge for children 3 years and under. AWAY Program does not include Child Watch or member rate for programs.

From Memorial Day to Columbus Day, members of YMCA’s in New England can take part in the AWAY Program by purchasing a day pass at a reduced fee of $10.00 for an adult and $5.00 for a youth; does not include Child Watch or member rate for programs.  From Columbus Day to Memorial Day, the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard will participate in full reciprocity by offering use of our facility at no cost to YMCA members from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and Connecticut; does not include Child Watch or member rate for programs.

Membership Cancellation Policy
Members can cancel their membership by submitting written notice 30 days prior to the first of the month. Membership will be terminated 30 days from the first of the month. If less than 30 days notice is given the member will be responsible for payment for the next month and use of the facility is permitted until the end of that month.  All memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable.
 
Membership Freeze/Hold Policy
Annual memberships at the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard have the benefit of being put on hold for a maximum timeframe of three (3) months within one membership year due to medical, travel or work-related conflicts. All Holds begin on the 1st day of the month (start date of hold) and end on the last day of the month of the requested Hold (end date of hold).  All membership holds require approval from the Membership Director.
