Membership Monthly Draft Policy
The Monthly Draft membership is an ongoing membership that is paid from a checking/savings account, debit card or credit card that is stored on file and automatically withdraws membership dues on the first of each month. The monthly draft membership will continue perpetually from month to month until a cancellation form is submitted; please see cancellation policy below. A 6 month minimum commitment is required for this membership. There is approximately a 10% discount if you pay in full for the year.
Membership Freeze/Hold Policy
Annual and monthly draft memberships at the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard have the benefit of being put on hold for a maximum time frame of three (3) months within one calendar year due to medical, travel or work-related conflicts. All Holds begin on the 1st day of the month and end on the last day of the month of the approved hold period. Membership holds are only accepted in writing via hard copy (Hold Agreement Form) or email and cannot be authorized over the phone or verbally. Memberships that have been on hold can only cancel 30 days after membership reactivates from hold.
Membership Cancellation Policy
Members with a monthly draft membership can cancel their membership by submitting written notice (cancellation form) 30 days prior to the next draft date (first of the month). The membership will be terminated 30 days from the first of the month. For example, if a membership cancellation form is submitted on October 15th, payment is processed November 1st, and the membership terminates on November 30th. All memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable. Memberships that have been on hold can cancel 30 days after membership reactivates from hold. When a membership is canceled, rejoins will be subject to the $75 join fee again if the membership is inactive for 3 months or longer.
