The YMCA has immediate openings for the following part time positions:
AQUATICS & HEALTH & WELLNESS
Lifeguards
Lifeguard Certification from the American Red Cross or YMCA, CPR for the Professional Rescue and AED certifications are required. Flexible hours are required including early mornings and weekend shifts. Compensation is $10-$12/hr depending on experience. Please note that the YMCA will be offering a lifeguarding certification class the week of August 7-13: Saturday, August 7 class from11am-7pm; Sunday, August 8 10am-6pm; weekday classes 11:00 am-4:30pm. Class requirements: participants must be able to swim 500yds of the pool. Proficiency on the freestyle, elementary backstroke and breaststroke is required. Cost of class is $250. Potential job opportunity after successful completion of class.
Swim Instructors
Certification from the American Red Cross as Water Safety Instructor or equivalent is required. Must have a minimum of two years of experience teaching all levels from infant to adult. Compensation is $16/hr.
Health and Wellness Coaches
An accredited personal training certificate is required. Prefer individuals who have well round knowledge in the fitness industry with strong background in exercise physiology. Compensation is $14.00/hr. personal training sessions $25-$35/hr depending on experience.

MEMBERSHIP SEVICES
Front Desk Membership Services Job Profile:
The Y of MV is seeking part-time front desk Membership Services staff to greet, recruit and assist in all areas of member services and satisfaction. The ideal candidate must show evidence of having a strong commitment to providing quality customer service in a team environment. Candidates must have a friendly, diplomatic approach to problem-solving and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Membership Services team members will sign up new members for membership and program registration, check-in existing members as well as solicit feedback from members and prospective members on how to improve services. The Membership Services team member will be well versed in all of the Y programs and services in order to inform and capture prospective new members by selling the true value of a Y membership. Exceptional computer skills and database experience a must. Please see details below.

Schedule & Pay Rate:
- Required to work early morning weekday shifts (5:15-10:15 a.m.), nights (4:00-9:00 p.m.) and weekends.
- Willingness to work On Call shifts strongly preferred
- Pay Rate $8.00 to $10.00 to start.
