Updated Waiver & Code of Conduct

keeping our ymca safe

The Y will:
  • Closely monitor updates and guidance from health agencies.
  • Adhere to rigorous sanitation practices.
  • Ensure our cleaning service remains up to date on latest guidelines.
  • Educate staff on the prevention and spread of all germs.
  • Provide hand sanitizers and disinfecting wipes.
  • Quickly evolve plans to align with health agency updates.
Our Members will:
  • Review our new policies and sign the member waiver and code of conduct.
  • Reserve a space in advance before using the Wellness Floor, Aquatics Center, or participating in a group exercise class.
  • Participate in health screenings. Anyone who is symptomatic will not be allowed admission to the facility.
  • Bring their own face covering, workout towel, water bottle and mat.
    • Water fountains are closed.
  • Respect social distancing.
  • Wipe equipment after use.
  • Use face coverings, per state guidelines.

To ensure the safety of our staff, members, and community, visitors will be required to partake in a brief health screening by a Y employee and may be refused admittance if displaying symptoms. We are taking safety seriously. If you’re not feeling well, we ask that you stay home and take advantage of our virtual options.

All members will be required to practice social distancing while inside our Y. In some cases, the availability of equipment will be limited to ensure you’re able to maintain the recommended 6 feet of separation. We’ve placed plexi-glass barriers throughout the wellness floor, though masks will be required as you move through the facility and during your workout. Signage has been strategically placed to assist you in traffic direction & maintaining safe distances.

In order to comply with building occupancy limits set by the CDC, we may restrict access to certain areas at peak times. We ask that if you plan to use the Wellness Floor, Aquatic Center, or attend a group class, you reserve a spot online. More info on this to come – but rest assured that we’ve made every effort to find the most user-friendly software for just this purpose. Not great at planning ahead? You’ll always be able to call the front desk during our business hours and our team can assist you in making a reservation.

We want to keep our doors open to as many members as possible. Doing so means taking safety seriously. Please not that any member who fails to comply with our updated health and safety protocols may me asked to leave the facility.

Advance reservations are required by booking online or by calling the Y prior to your visit.

Members must check in with the front desk to confirm their reserved spots. Walk in reservations may not always be accommodated due to space limitations.

Upon entering the Health & Wellness area check with a staff member to be directed to your designated cardio pod.

Group Exercise classes will take place outside under the pavilion. Reserved spaces will be designated with participants placed 10 feet apart so they can not wear a mask if they prefer. Masks MUST remain on until class begins.

In the event on inclement weather, classes will be held only on Zoom, not under the pavilion. All live, in person classes at the Y will be streamed on Zoom. Zoom participants will only see the instructor, not other members of the class, in order to ensure privacy. There will also be classes held on Zoom only that all members will have access to. Thank you in advance for your patience as we work out this new system in real time.

Require members wash their hands in the newly installed foot pedal sink upstairs before and after using any equipment.

Y staff will be regularly disinfecting all equipment but members are required to wipe down equipment before and after use. Wipes will be made available at each cardio pod and through the weight area.

We encourage members to come dressed to work out and swimmers arrive in their bathing suits. Showers will not be available unless showering to enter the pool but not upon exiting. Bring a robe to ensure comfort when exiting the pool area and leaving the building.

Locker availability will be limited and we discourage use of the locker room except when needing to use the restroom.

Not ready to come back yet?

We will be offering a Virtual Membership as of September 9th for those who would prefer to continue their membership online. This will provide virtual members with unrestricted access to all live stream classes at the Y as well as classes only offered on Zoom. You will have access to 60+ classes per week, restricted to Y members only. Simply check in virtually online through our website and you will be directed to specialized links to our Zoom classes.
